Smithfield Foods Employee Files Suit Over Working Conditions During COVID-19

A Michigan lawsuit alleges Holt Public Schools was aware one of its teachers was inappropriately touching children three years before his actions were reported to police. The 36-year-old is now serving a seven- to 15-year prison sentence for sexually abusing eight young boys. The lawsuit against the school district was filed on behalf of a then-10-year-old boy who was abused by the teacher. Between 2016-2018, there were at least eight reports filed by teachers, staff members, volunteers, and students about the teacher's behavior toward students.
