The lawsuit was filed on behalf of a couple and their daughter following a pressure cooker explosion. According to the lawsuit, the woman and her daughter sustained severe thermal burns to their bodies when their Cuisinart pressure cooker exploded. The firm that filed the lawsuit represents over 200 clients who have been severely burned by exploding pressure cookers designed and sold by numerous manufacturers.

Appeals Court Rules in Favor of Snowmobilers Injured in Crash With DNR Officers
Two snowmobilers injured in an accident with the Department of Natural Resources in Antrim County, Michigan, have won a key decision in a lawsuit. The 24-year-old was working as a mason with a Legacy Union subcontractor when he fell to his death as a result of an elevator hoist malfunction. As stated in the complaint, the man's death "was proximately caused by the defendants’ negligence, or other misconduct and would have, if the decedent had lived, entitled him to bring an action for damages."

Hiker Injured by Off-Leash Dog in Tilden Regional Park Can Proceed to Trial
California's First Appellate District has ruled in favor of a woman who was injured by an off-leash dog while hiking. The woman was walking her own dog on Wildcat Gorge Trail in Tilden Regional Park in 2016 when she was allegedly injured by another hiker's dog. She contends the off-leash dog collided with her leg, dislocating her ankle and breaking two bones in her leg. The defendant was granted summary judgment on an "assumption of risk" defense by a lower court, but the appellate court overturned the decision, allowing the case to proceed toward trial.
