Injured Louisiana Woman's Lawsuit Alleges Nutri-Pot Pressure Cookers Are Defective

A Louisiana woman injured by an exploding pressure cooker has filed a lawsuit against NuWave, LLC, the manufacturer of the Nutri-Pot pressure cooker. The plaintiff sustained severe thermal burns to her body when her pressure cooker exploded while under pressure on June 22, 2019. Her lawsuit alleges Nutri-Pot pressure cookers contain defects which allow users to unknowingly remove the lid while the cooker is still under pressure, causing the hot contents to be projected from the unit.
