New Jersey Teacher Sues After Being Fired After Suffering Brain Injury
A New Jersey teacher has filed a lawsuit alleging he was fired from his job after suffering a traumatic brain injury. The lawsuit was filed Tuesday in Superior Court of Mercer County against Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart. The plaintiff alleges the school violated the state's law against discrimination and retaliation when he was terminated because of a disability caused by his brain injury. The disability includes light sensitivity, extreme fatigue, and sudden loss of consciousness, according to the complaint. The plaintiff suffered "constant discriminatory treatment" by his supervisor, including being questioned both privately and in public about his disability.
